Near the square with the war memorial, cross the state highway and take the “fitness trail”, an unpaved and flat path equipped with gymnastic obstacles and stations, at the end of which you will start the course to Presena Glacier. The route is wide and unpaved, featuring uphill parts with an average 10% slope; it runs along all the mount Monticello, offering a stunning view: downward the village of Vermiglio and the Val di Sole, upwards the Busazza peak (3.284 m a.s.l), the north side of Presanella, a real paradise for mountaineers and climbers.

Along the way, you will find a stunning unlighted tunnel and the starting point of the old and abandoned chair lift, which used to reach Passo Paradiso. After cycling for 14 km, you arrive at 2150 m a.s.l and the reward for your effort is a gorgeous and unique view: a small upland where a glacial stream flows at the foot of Presena. Here, you can rest, laying down on the stones smoothed by the retreat of glaciers, before a thrilling descent back to the hotel.
