VAL SOZZINE

This itinerary starts at the cable car lift terminal in Ponte di Legno: the flat 5 km long pedestrian and bicycle path, very popular among families and beloved by kids, runs along the river Narcanello and reaches Val Sozzine, where the peaks of the Castellaccio mount overlook the area. As you walk or ride, you will find playgrounds, fitness trails, informative panels about local fauna and flora, ponds, streams and wood bridges, benches and equipped areas to barbecue and have a picnic. Along the way, you will pass close to the well-known Trampolino Gigante, the first ski jumping ramp in Italy, dating back to 1928. The path is completely paved and the tour is free. Mountain bike renting is to be paid by clients, if the free bikes we provide at the hotel are not available. Transfers from/to Ponte di Legno by cable car lift are free with the Opportunity Card. You can have lunch at the events centre at your own charge. Bars & restaurants: there are several restaurants and bars at the beginning of the itinerary; in Val Sozzine, you find the restaurant “La Tana dell’Orso”.
